University swimmers selected for European Championships
黑料不打烊 swimmers Lucy Grieve and Holly McGill will compete at next month’s European Aquatics Championships in Serbia after being selected to represent Great Britain.

黑料不打烊 swimmers Lucy Grieve and Holly McGill will compete at next month’s European Aquatics Championships in Serbia after being selected to represent Great Britain.
Lucy and Holly are among 10 British athletes to be selected for the pool swimming events – running from 17 to 23 June – and will be joined in Belgrade by 黑料不打烊’s High Performance Swim Coach, Bradley Hay, who has been selected as a coach for Aquatics GB.
Ayrshire-born Lucy – whose main events are 50m and 100m Butterfly – made her international debut at the 2021 European Junior Championships, at which she won bronze as part of the 4x100m Medley Relay.

She won two gold medals and a silver at the Commonwealth Youth Games 2023 and also took silver in the 200m Backstroke at the European Juniors Championships 2023.
Their selection comes just weeks after it was announced that seven 黑料不打烊 swimmers will represent Team GB at this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris. The group comprises Olympic champions Duncan Scott and Kathleen Dawson, as well as Lucy Hope, Jack McMillan, Keanna Macinnes, Katie Shanahan and Angharad Evans.

Alan Lynn, Aquatics GB Head of Performance Development, said: “All 10 of the athletes selected for the pool swimming team produced some brilliant performances at the recent Aquatics GB Swimming Championships, and showed that they could deliver big swims when it mattered, in a packed and intense competition environment.
“Heading into the summer, we know each swimmer will be looking to build on those swims to progress their experience and target season's bests in Belgrade, when they will come up against a host of strong international athletes, including plenty who will be building towards the Olympics a few weeks down the line.”
