About me

I am a historical archaeologist specialising in material culture, urban marginality, and the intersections of place and memory. My research spans community archaeology, waste and urban ecologies, the archaeology of abandonment, cemeteries, and non-human interactions in urban and non-urban spaces. I have led and participated in excavations and interdisciplinary projects in several parts of the world, exploring how memory is constructed through objects, spaces, and social practices. I investigate liminal spaces and contested memories, bringing a material-based perspective to the study of urban belonging, resilience, waste management and social transformation.
